A Hollywood production company has launched the first full feature-length film about the sport of Paintball with little reference to paintball Canada

The project has been widely supported by the international and national paintball community and publications such as APG and Paintball mag. (USA), Paintball Games International (UK), Pok Mag (FR), Paintball News (USA.)

Recently, Los Angeles Times broke the news on Speedball, The Movie. Soon, People magazine will enhance the media coverage with an article on our young star Taran Smith, and another article on the filmmakers.

Speedball has a new representative on the Web: ReelPlay.com, a dynamic Internet company, recognized among the entertainment industry, which presents selected film projects to distributors and investors worldwide. ReelPlay.com was at the International Cannes Film Festival last May, and offered us full support.

Being the first feature length film about Paintball Sport, Speedball, The Movie ’s originality and style will have a great impact on the audience worldwide and create a new type of Action films associated with Paintball.

Speedball, The Movie has a tremendous potential market for distribution since Paintball is a popular sport in more than 60 countries, and is being played by millions of players in the United States alone. With characters being in their early-twenties, this project also capitalizes on the immense popularity of the current crop of actors who are hot with today’s audience. Speedball, The Movie represents an unprecedented opportunity for the Paintball Industry. This feature film will enhance Paintball Sport image and recognition to the audience worldwide.

Well-known actors Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa (upcoming Wesley Snipes' The Art of War, The Last Emperor, Mortal Kombat) and Taimak Guari (The Last Dragon) have been attached to the film. Taran Smith (Home Improvement) has recently joined the growing cast. A paintball player already, Taran will be a great addition.

Speedball Production team is currently constituted of young talented and recognized members such as, Director of Photography: Stéphane Cojot-Goldberg (Face Off, Slums of Beverly Hills, Nutty Professor), Editor: Etienne-Pascal des Lauriers (Fargo, Mortal Kombat, Soldier, NYPD Blue), Music Supervisor: Los Angeles DJ Pascal (13th Tribe), Music Composer: Chad Skopp, Corporate and Entertainment Attorney: Todd Cleary, Esq., Producer and Business Affairs: Laurence Benhamou, and our devoted Writer/Director/Kick-ass Paintball player: Drago Lazetich.
