Important paintball stuff including college paintball returns to World Cup

The University of Illinois, returning champs of the National Collegiate Paintball Association last year, will be among eight college paintball teams attending World Cup this year in Orlando, Fla.

“Illinois, who had trouble with the X Ball™ format last year, looks especially vulnerable after having failed to crack the top three in either of their past two NCPA events,” said Chris Raehl, president of the NCPA. “Their long-time rival Purdue is fresh off a win at the Midwest Intercollegiate Tournament on Oct. 4, was a Co-Champion in 2002's DraXxuS Collegiate World Cup, and even played Division II X Ball™ at the Chicago Open. While Iowa State has yet to play this season, their fourth place finish last season also makes them contenders at Cup.”
