Teenager Arrested in Connection With Paintball Shooting

A Palm Coast teenager was arrested Thursday, March 4, in connection with paint balls being shot at a Flagler County School bus.

The report filed in the incident states that the school bus driver reported hearing loud sounds as he was running his morning bus route in the Indian Trails section of Palm Coast around 7:26 a.m. When he arrived at the bus garage, he called Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to the scene. Deputy Jen Taylor reported that she observed four separate paint shots on the side of the bus.

The bus driver was able to identify the area where the shots were fired and deputies located the teenager at a home on Bellaire Drive. The 17-year-old was charged with shooting a deadly missile in to a vehicle. He was transported to the Division of Youth Services in Daytona Beach.

There were about 32 students on the bus at the time of the shooting and no injuries were reported.
